I thought it might be useful if I shared a bit more information of where I source my slate and stone from so you can create a connection with your piece just like I do, with every single piece that I craft.

Being born and bred in Wales and growing up in Pembrokeshire, I have a massive bias towards Welsh Slate. It's not just a passion of mine but I truly enjoy repurposing the slate so people can enjoy the slate in their home and it fulfils a functional purpose aswell. Sadly, all Welsh industries have now declined but I feel determined to salvage the slate and bring it to life, saving it from the crusher.  It's not just a process step of collecting the slate, it's an adventure in itself and just the start of the journey for this stunning material.

I source only the very best quality Welsh Slate from the foothills around Snowdonia. This landscape is breathtaking and to think that this slate was naturally formed, millions of years ago, it's been on its very own cool journey.

I also work with world famous Portland Stone naturally formed on the award winning Jurassic Coast.

I enjoy taking trips out to the quarry to restock and wish I could do this more often.
